Description
This luxurious villa occupies a unique location - right on the waterfront in South East Groningen, where nature and peace go hand in hand. From your own private dock you can access an open channel and sail the Ruiten-A canal. In the adjacent park there is a beautiful subtropical swimming paradise with a competition pool, sauna and Turkish steam bath. Furthermore, there is the opportunity to play golf at two golf courses complete with an indoor driving range and a restaurant so you can enjoy a delicious dinner or buffet while overlooking the golf course. The numerous lakes in the vicinity are ideal for water sports.Position
Romantic; Among nature; Near water
The Westerwolde nature area in the region of South East Groningen is characterized by beautiful woodlands, flowing wheat fields, quaint villages and historic walled towns. Emslander is located in the foothills of the Hondsrug, which means it is pretty close to Drenthe. But that does not mean you only have the opportunity for walking and cycling. Far from it, there is plenty for water sports enthusiasts, culture fans, athletes and others. The 5-star Parc Emslander lies amidst an area full of nature and culture.
This newest extension of the park, where the villa is located,
is surrounded by a very large pond on one side and by a canal on the other. The Ruiten-A canal allows access to a large network of open water. With a motor launch, canoe or row boat you can enjoy the tranquility of the sea. There is also plenty to do nearby. You can
for example pamper yourself at the spa of Fontana Nieuweschans. Or how about a bit of shopping in the lively city of Groningen or on the longest shopping street in the Netherlands, found in Winschoten.
And yes, children will have a hard time choosing between the indoor amusement park of Speelstad Orange, the Emmen Zoo, the Hunebedcentrum (Dutch monument museum) in Borger or the World of Wonder in Ter Apel. Those who decide to cross the border will find themselves in an instant in one of the great German cities like Lingen, Oldenburg, Emden, Bremen or the village of Greetsiel known for its beautiful harbor and twin mill. We also recommend the fortified village of Bourtange (7 miles from the park) which was built during the 16th century but largely rebuilt in the eighteenth century. Every August there is a medieval period re-enactment here, complete with fighting knights and music.
