Visitors can enjoy various water sports such as swimming, sailing, kayaking, and windsurfing and will also find numerous hiking and biking trails that wind through the nearby mountains and forests. Sun lovers will enjoy Lake Maggiore’s beautiful Guree beach (a 10-minute walk) and the pretty beach at Reno (a 7-minute drive). Lake Monate (a 5-minute drive) and Lake of Varese (a 12-minute drive) also provide popular excursions.

Laveno’s car/passenger ferry (a 12-minute drive) will take visitors across to Intra where guests can enjoy Villa Taranto’s botanical gardens, the child-friendly zoo of Villa Pallavicino and the hiking opportunities of Mottarone. The beautiful lakeside promenade in Stresa is a 52-minute drive away and offers frequent boat tours to the Borromeo’s islands. Monvalle is also home to a handful of eateries and ‘Ristorantes’.

The closest international airport is Milan Malpensa (MXP), approximately a 42-minute drive from the property.
