Risoul is much more than a ski resort among others. The slopes cross over a huge forest with 900 000 larch trees. Those trees are preserved since the ski resort building in 1972. There are unique points of view over the surrounding mountains. The ski resort has strong history and traditions with its 17 hamlets, the oldest one dates from the Gaul’s time.
The ski area : 51 ski lifts (31 draglifts, 18 chairlifts, 1 “télénacelle” et 1 gondola), 116 slopes (21 green, 45 blue, 40 red, 10 black), 17 km cross-country skiing slopes, 7 snowparks, 2 boardercross, 1 slalom run, 2 natural sledging slopes, 1 free beginners’ area.
