Description
This chalet is part of a holiday park that is teeming with life, where peace, space and true hospitality are spelled with capital letters. The park is situated on a mound near a large recreational lake with a separate beach. A sophisticated place, situated between the rugged Peel and the beautiful Meuse, close to Germany and Belgium. During the summer months and school holidays there is a recreation team present that organizes numerous activities, no matter the weather. - The new central building (May 2011) contains a reception desk with tourist information; the Lounge Café with a spacious outdoor terrace; a wellness area with sauna and steam room; a relaxation area; and a garden with sun beds. The large garden is surrounded by vegetation which provides adequate privacy. In the central building there is a laundry facility and bicycle rental service. - This Scandinavian-style detached chalet is nicely decorated. You have a front and back garden and two parking spaces at your disposal. - The park is easily accessible, even by air! Ryanair Airport Düsseldorf / Weeze is located only 15 km away.Position
Romantic; Among nature; Near water
The possibilities in and around the park and surrounding area are so great that only a handful are hereafter described (in the central building you can find detailed information!) - IN AND AROUND THE PARK: A swimming beach is waiting. Great for small children (has a children's slide and shallow water) and older children (20-foot water slide). Its big sunbathing area is ideal for persons of all ages. - Then there is a cable car, mini-golf course and the pleasant terrace of the cafeteria from where parents can keep an eye on the children. - During the holidays, there are various organized activities for children up to 12 years of age such as horse-drawn carriage rides and an excursion with Jan the forester. Of course the older guests have not been left out either. Furthermore, bikes and karts are available for rent. Use of tennis courts is free, the pedal boats you can rent for €12.50 per hour. The staff of the reception desk is more than happy to provide you with tips for a day out or suggestions for a good restaurant in the vicinity. – FURTHER AWAY: Cosy Maas villages, alternating with strawberry and asparagus fields and plant nurseries. That's the Meuse valley in the west. On the other side, towards Germany, you’ll find a large forest and moorland known as the “De Maasduinen” National Park. – A bike ride to Germany is always a wonderful experience, along ancient villages and through a fantastic natural environment. - In the other direction you will encounter the National Park of “De Groote Peel”. - Closer to home, on the north side of Oostrum, lies the sprawling sanctuary of “Geijsteren Estate”. In short, nature in abundance! - A few kilometers from the provincial town of Oostrum lies the town of Venray, with a wide range of shops, a food court, theater and cinema. Shop until you drop in the new outlet center or in the old town of Roermond. Sophisticated shopping can also be done in Maastricht and Dusseldorf. - There are a surprising number of bicycle and hiking routes that lead in all four directions. - BY CAR: Indoor playgrounds can be found in Venlo, Deurne, Sevenum and Panningen. You can enjoy a cruise on the Meuse from Well. In Horst it’s all about strawberries, in Broekhuizen its all about blueberries, in Blitterswijck it’s all about trout farming and at the museum of Melderslo it’s all about mushrooms and asparagus. Workout: Canoe and kayak tours from Ottersum; fish three ponds in beautiful Oostrum; or rent and drive buggies in Wanssum. - These are just a few colors from the colorful palette of possibilities in the delightful North Limburg area!
