Albarella Island, connected to the mainland via a bridge, is located in the Po Delta Park, between Chioggia (30 km) and Comacchio (45 km), in Rosolina, in the province of Rovigo. With its 5 km length, Albarella is a private island where you can spend your holidays in complete relaxation or enjoy your favourite sports (including golf, horse riding, and water sports).
There are over 2,000,000 trees belonging to about 150 tree species, mostly native, forming part of the typical flora of the Mediterranean scrub. Albarella has always been a destination and refuge for many animal species. The name of the island is linked to a tree, the “Populus Alba,” the white poplar, known as "Arborea" in the local dialect.
Contact with nature, free-roaming animals, and tranquillity, far from the chaos of cities and mass beach resorts, are the essential and most appreciated elements for a stay of total peace and relaxation on Albarella Island.
